TireRack A4 Winter Package

Re: TireRack A4 Winter Package
Ship to the UPS store - they charge $5 per item to hold and you just go there and pick them up. Tax at the border is 13% and duty on anything manufactured outside of Canada, US and Mexico (NAFTA).

Re: TireRack A4 Winter Package
Anyone have suggestions for 2011 a5 sline? Trying to figure out if it's ok to go down to the 18" or if I should get the 19"s. I know I have to get the wheels, but this is so confusing!!!

Re: TireRack A4 Winter Package
Hi,
I've been looking at the same thing. My only concern is the proper offset for the wheels.
Can anyone confirm that it is +35mm for 17x7.5 ? cause I get mixed results on Tirerack when you buld your own package.
Thanks

Re: TireRack A4 Winter Package
Hi I am glad I am not the only one confused. I called Audi today re a set of used rims and tires I am considering and they said yes the offset is a concern, only way for sure is mount the wheel on your front hub and see if it clears the calipers! Imagine.

Re: TireRack A4 Winter Package
It should fit - 35 mm ET provides a more agressive stance (wheel pushed further out) therefore the wheel would be away from the calipers compared to an OEM wheel ...
Here's a site that may assist: wheels and tire sizing

Re: TireRack A4 Winter Package
Not sure what you're asking ... if you're comparing two different wheel widths then you MAY need to consider a different offset since the wheel takes up more space and therefore could be closer to brakes as well as the fender. That said, an 8" wheel with the same offset as a 7.5" would only move 1/4 inch further inside and 1/4 inch further outside (from centre). The link I posted above should help but feel free to post the wheel info for some add'l feedback.
