Purchase advice on a 2012 S4
Have been lurking on this site for the past month as I shop for a new vehicle here in Calgary. I have now pretty much settled on an Audi S4, and am getting ready to talk turkey over pricing with the dealership. First discussion with the dealer is (naturally!) everything at MSRP with a delivery date of February 2012.
I wanted to get some feedback from other members as what kind of room there is for price negotiation on S4s currently. I know from car-cost Canada that the price between MSRP and wholesale is about $5K. Thoughts anyone

Contact Dave Mair at Oakville Audi here in Ontario and he'll get you a great deal. So willl Alex at Mississauga Audi. I've referred people to both guys and bought cars from them and both are no-nonsense.

Thanks Sakimano. Yes I know it is rough out here! In Calgary we don't benefit from dealer competition as both dealerships in town are owned by the same group.
I have dropped your contact a line.

It is a good idea to subscribe to Car Quote( 100 dollars for 3 quotes) and you will receive a complete quote wit dealer invoice price etc so you will know exactly what the dealer paid.
Last time I paid just 750 over the invoice price - called all dealers and told them straight that the invoice price was xxx and I was ready to pay 500 dollars over, finally one dealer called and said 750 which I agreed saving all haggling etc.
Just be aware the car quote guys take about 2 days to respond after you pay up
Good luck and cheers

Thanks for all the advice. While Calgary would not negotiate on price, everyone else in the country seems willing! Ultimately I went with a Vancouver offer. I certainly got the sense that I am not the first Albertan to buy an Audi in BC...
