APR ECU Upgrade 2.0 TFSI for 2009 A4

I actually did that, but they are somewhat suspicious of the oil leak already.
I'm more concerned about what's causing it - dealer mechanics say ECU upgrade puts more stress on engine (that it can handle).
I hardly doubt that...

It shouldn't have any issues with oil leaks even if you do an ECU upgrade and drive the vehicle hard. If the dealer is suspicious I'd take it to another dealer.

If it is still under warranty you'd have to have an Audi dealership do the actual diagnosis and repairs, unless you wish to pay for it out of your own pocket. I deal with OpenRoad Audi but don't expect the best service from them as they only treat their higher end clients like real customers.

As I said, take it in for an inspection. Ask Alfred to try and diagnose the problem. He knows Audi's VERY well, and is very trustworthy. He will tell you what is wrong, and how serious, when it needs to be repaired, and what it will cost. And, as I understand it, there is no legal obligation to use a dealer for regular service and repairs while a car is under warranty.
From what I have managed to discover, standard service intervals, and repairs that fall outside a warranty recall can be performed by any licensed mechanic as long as they use genuine parts, and log the repairs in a manner consistent with the manufacturer's guidelines. With the exception of repairs mandated by a warranty recall, the manufacturer cannot force you to use a dealership for regular service and repairs, and doing so will not void the warranty.
The only way the warranty can be voided is if the non-dealership repair was done incorrectly, and caused further damage to your vehicle. Then, the dealer and manufacturer can and will charge you for the subsequent repairs.
