Default Traffic in MMI navigation 2013 q5

I'm currently on the sirius 3 month trial and i'm not getting the traffic flow colours in my nav. Plus when i press the Info button for local construction work it says call for a subscription. Tried that and no luck getting answers from them.

In my 2009 A3, i have a sirius subscription for sat radio and i retro-fitted a 2011 euro navigation and traffic came up instantly.

From what i can decipher online, apparently traffic is US customer only option which covers certain canadian cities, and it costs 4$ a month.

What i don't understand is how i'm getting this as a canadian customer for free on my A3 and i can't even pay to get this to work on my Q5.

i'm hoping that after the trial it will magically appear with my regular subscription

Sirius Canada doesn't have traffic service for 2013 models. No 2013 Audi model has traffic service in Canada however sometimes Sirius US runs free 2 weeks trials at that time you can pick up some high level traffic data in some of the southern major Canadian cities. Do a search on the forum there is tons of info about this.
