Q5 Winter Mag Wheels - Any special info about them?
Is there any special info I need to know before ordering wheels for my Q5? I have a 2010 S-Line
I know when I ordered wheels for my Dodge Pickup I was told to be very careful which wheel to get and to ensure they were "hub centric" so the main weight of the truck was on the hub instead of the wheel bolts.
Is there any special info I need to know about the Q5? I am thinking about ordering a set from VMR VMR Wheels by Velocity Motoring - Aluminum Alloy Wheels for German Cars On the fence between the V710 V713 and V718. Leaning toward the V710.
Thanks for any input.

Hi there: I am assuming you're talking about winter tires?
Regardless of the trip of the car. 18" in recommended for winter use. Regardless you need to make sure the rim has a bolt pattern of 5-112. Usually for size 18" the offset is 35 mm.
The best thing to do is go to tirerack.com and pick out a nice winter tire/wheel combo, once you picked it look at the details of the rim and it'll tell you the offset and bolt pattern. When ordering from another place make sure the bolt pattern and offset both match.
18" winter gives you the exact same clearance is your 20". I have them on my Q and I love them. Check it out below on top of the screen:

The first page of this threat also talks about tire pressure sensors and if you need it or not for your winter rims.
Good luck.
