Hello flogsta, I guess you don't have the list ,right? My dealer told me that mine is not on the list, however, I want to double check, if possible. Thanks.

No one but the dealer has the list. If you're not on the list you're fine. They told me for all the ones on the list it's automatic change. More of a preventative action.

Dealer did not run diagnostics, as already mentioned if the VIN is on the list, automatic replacement even if nothing is wrong with your water pump. All changed now. I got lucky they had it in stock, dropped it off at 9 was ready by 2.

Finally phoned Royal Oak and not on the list........guess different build dates equates to different parts supplied and used during assembly. However the service dept encouraged me to check back as the "list" is updated daily and to not wait for a recall letter from Audi.

What a pain, having to call each day that sux. From what I gathered, it's all of 2009 and first half of 2010 (manufactured date). This is not formal, just something off the record the service advisor told me.
