Default Q5 - HID Amber Fog light, LED interior Lighting (ERROR FREE)

Hi All:

So finally my lighting project has come to an end. I got very lucky and found a very helpful eBay power-seller who specializes in LED lighting. I got even luckier because he was in Toronto and met up and helped me install my lights and answered all my questions.

One thing to note is that installing the HID Fog light and the interior LED light as well as the License Plate LED lights was so easy I couldn't believe it. If anyone wants to do it let me know I'll be more than happy to guide you. Doing this does NOT trigger computer errors and you DO NOT void any warranty. I have looked into it all. You will also not damage the car in any way if you're careful.

This is his eBay link. Check it out, contact him for anything you need. He may not have everything on the site but that doesn't mean he doesn't have it. He's very knowledgeable, good prices and will meet you around Woodbine and 16th area.

Have a look: https://www.ExtremeBrightLEDs.com

I took these pictures with my Nikon D90 but shrank it for size. Enjoy:

Correction to the URL above should be: eBay Store - ExtremeBrightLEDs: ExtremeBrightLEDs.com, www.ExtremeBrightLEDs.com

I looked at his ebay store. He is selling H11 HID Xenon bulb for $50.99. Does it come with the complete kit, which is the ballast, Canbus, bulb etc, or just the bulb only?

That's just the bulb and replacement bulb cost. You need the entire kit which should run you around 100 bucks.

Go to extremebrightleds.com and email my contact at extremebrightleds@gmail.com, tell him you want the same HID Kit Ario from Toronto bought from you for his Q5 (that's me). He'll point you to the correct listing on ebay. Just make sure you tell him with temperature bulb you want I got 3000.

Let me know who it goes.

Thanks for the info. I don't have my Q5 until Jan 02, 2010. Hope you don't mind asking some question. I know the Q5 using the LED for DRL. If you turn on the head light / low beam, will the LED remain on? If the LED on, I assume LED temp and headlight temp are matching? The reason I ask is I wanna change the Xenon to 8000K and add 8000k HID foglight. Just concern the LED won't match.

NM, just saw one of your posted picture and noticed the LED is on when low beam is on. I guess I will have to go for 6000k

Hi Soni:

yes when head lights are on the LED stays on. in the US the LED goes off here it doesn't. Another thing, when fog comes on the head lights come on. There is no way to have DRL and Fog with out head light on.

Yes head light and LED DRL both same temp 4300K so if you change your head light and LED to 8000K your DRL will look a bit brighter which is quite mine. I might change my head light to 5000K still debating between it and 6000K. I do a lot of night driving so 8K will not be bright enough for me.
