Default PDI Freight and Admin Fee

Does $1,115 PDI + $880 Freight + $404 Admin fee seem high? Total $2,399. Does to me... The only issue I have is the PDI. At $104.50/ hour for a mechanic to prep the car this would represent 10 hours 45 minutes of prep work to get the car ready? As much as I loathe the PDI, I am more than willing to pay $115 or even $230 as it does take time to prep a car for delivery.

Can anyone else share their thoughts on the PDI fee for the Q5?

That's high, but if it makes you feel any better, we paid something like $2200 freight and PDI for our A3, and $2500 for our A5. Apparently this varies quite a bit depending on where you are. Here in the Calgary area, there's really only 1 dealer, so they can set the price as high as they want. If you live in an area with multiple dealers, maybe you can negotiate a little. FWIW, the PDI for us at least includes splash guards and wheel locks.

I always refuse to pay the admin fee. So far, I've always had them remove it.

I am paying the same PDI, Freight as you, however my Admin is only $295. I agree the PDI is way above industry regularity, but it is Audi...just a thought lol.

Nothing personal, but it's funny that dealerships still offer window etching. I used to sell cars for some high-end manufacturers, and it was just another commission making program. It costs like $10 to etch the window and register, and yet dealerships charge crazy fees and try and make it a manditory for you to have it.

That's what I find funny.

I couldn't escpae these fees. Globali it's a service it's pretty cheap built into the fees, your car gets stolen they can find it or something like that. Google it. It's not a bad service, more luxury cars have it.
