New Owner stupid question, 2008 Q7, Locking Doors
I picked up a 2008 Q7 for my wife this weekend, and we ordered a owners manual but it hasnt showed up yet so thought maybe you guys can help me.
When the drivers door is open, and the key is out of the ignition when you hit the door lock button on the drivers door it locks all the doors but the drivers door, how do you make it lock all the doors? With the key FOB it locks everything

Re: New Owner stupid question, 2008 Q7, Locking Doors
From my understanding this is the correct operation.
the car doesn't want you to lock the keys inside. If you dropped the keys inside after pressing the lock button on the door, you could lock the keys inside.
By pressing the lock button on the key fob, the car has confirmed that you have the keys in your hand!
Congrats on the new car!
