Default disable trunk open

Is it possible to disable the trunk on the q5 from opening? I have the bike mount on my hitch and am afraid I may accidently open the trunk with the remote or from inside the car and my trunk will smash into the bikes. I would like it so I can only open the trunk manually using the release handle on the trunk.

I'd have to say no. You can do the opposite though (eliminate rubber button opening on hatch).

When the bikes are mounted, would it help if you set the maximum opening of the trunk to be as little as possible?

You can disable the opening assistant so if you unlock the trunk it will stay unlocked but will not open.
