Crime Gang’s Audi Q7 S-Line Turned Into a Police Patrol Car
In a very strange turn of events, a brand new black Audi Q7 TDI S-line seized from a criminal gang in the north of Glasgow has been transformed into a patrol car by the Strathclyde Police.
The Strathclyde Police force is the largest police force in Scotland, and is one of the biggest in the United Kingdom. The Audi confiscated from the criminals is worth £40,000. This is the first time in history that a police team will put a confiscated vehicle to their benefit.
“This is a first for Strathclyde Police, but it certainly won’t be the last,” said Assistant Chief Constable, John Neilson, in a statement. He added, “As you can clearly see, we are proactively seizing your assets. I would say to the criminals that what you have this week; your houses, your cars – you might not have next week. The hard working, law abiding citizens need to know that we are hurting those involved in serious and organized crime where it matters – their pockets.”
The police department’s Gangs Task Force is currently using the seized Audi Q7 TDI. The Strathclyde Police reports that after a few months, the car will be sold and the proceedings put back into the police and local community.
