Default Considering 2010 3.2 / Q5 prem plus w/nav from the US

Hello - new to this forum and seriously considering the above. In fact, I've put down a deposit. Appreciate any input on the attached.

1. shall is buy this lovely auto? - reviews are mostly positive but have had poor luck with audi's in the past (A4 - 2001 and 5000s for those who remember those!)
2. do you know if audi care is transferable to canada? i'm getting mixed reports? I'll call audi after the long weekend but thought i'd check in with you folks.
3. can't figure out why navi does not have touchscreen?

Any other thoughts or feedback is appreciated!

Cheers!

1. yes.
2. I don't think so, but your phone call to audi canada will confirm. Also confirm details about the 4 year warranty.
3. yeah, touch screen would have been nice. Though a note with the navi: see if you can set up traffic updates while in the states. I don't think it's currently worth paying for (especially since coverage in vancouver area is limited), but if you get a chance to arrange a free 3 months, or more, trial, do it from the US dealer. (if traffic is important, read the extensive topic in this forum)

Good luck.

oh yeah, confirm that your VIN is not affected by a water pump recall.

For #2 - You might want to talk with USPAVANTWANTED. I know that he confirmed that you can't buy Audi Care for a US vehicle once it's in Canada.

Audi Care is a product from Audi Canada. It is NOT honoured in the US and the same for the US product not honoured in Canada.

Touch screens get really dirty from fingerprints and are difficult to clean without scratching. Use the voice recognition.

You may want to check is road side assist in honoured in Canada for a US car.

Thank you all. Spoke with Audi and Audi Care (bought in the US) is not valid in Canada I live near the border (Vancouver) so can always take down to Bellingham or Seattle once a year.

This is indeed a great forum; hope I don't regret the Q5 assuming I can make the deal work out of the US.

Cheers!
