revo trial chiptuning FYI
there might be some people here who tried the revo trial version.
After the trial period is up, your engine software is supposed to be changed back to original specs.
This is false ! You will have less then that !
cheers

revo programs their software into your cars ECU. Your car is running on their software for about 5 hours. After that you have to buy it or it will set it self back to original values.
That is not true. They also remap the original software and detune it. Your car now performs even worse than before you got there.

I reprogrammd two 1.8T cars with this crap so far. I know what I'm talking about. Google it and check some chiptuning sites. Especially in the UK.

Re: revo trial chiptuning FYI
Did you just do a full re-flash of the ECU to get them back to "actual" stock settings? I had Revo on my previous car, a 2001 Jetta W.E., and I was super happy with the Revo tuning, the car really got up and went. No issues what-so-ever over more then 100,000 km's being chipped. I never did the trial though, just went for a re-flash after reading lots of peoples feedback of Revo, APR, GIAC, ect. and decided Revo had great feedback from it's users.

As I stated above, this is an information for people who tried the trial version and never got the full flash done, because 99.9% are not aware of what was done to their car.
For the flash itself, I only can say that they run quiet a bit too much boost.
I would never tune someones car with that. Hey, It might work here in north america, but I know for sure you would not get far in europe with it. This is based what I have seen from both 1.8T engines tuned by them.
They have a good read protection, but with the right tool you'll get it off of it.
Also, If you have a cheap china programmer, don't even think of reading an ECU with a trial version on it. Just by trying to read your check engine light will be on for ever. VAG-COM can't get rid of the fault code as well.
hope that explains it a bit.
