APR Tuning..
Hey everyone.. Just wondering if any1 thinks APR tuning is any good ?.. I wanted to do the first Stage 1 ECU upgrade but whats holding me back is because my car is on warranty.. For 5 yrs.. I was told I could flash the software to stock any time I decide to go to the dealership.. Is there a way to find out, or is there other parts to go together with the stage 1 upgrade besides the ECU software ? Thanks in advance.. Richie...

Re: APR Tuning..
I had a Jetta chipped, not by APR, and 2 Audi's chipped, APR. Both Audi's were under warranty, the second a week old. The chip can be switched off by using the cruise control stalk if you're concerned. My dealer knew and there was no issue. Great software, nothing else stage 1.

Do it! I got mine done and love it! must more HP/TQ and makes it so much more enjoyable to drive! You can turn it back to stock and lock out the ECU using the cruise control. its super easy to do and deal cant see that its done. when i go for service i turn it off and when i get it back i set it back to 93 and off a go!

Re: APR Tuning..
I hear all of you and agree. I did APR on my 2005 1.8T and the difference was unbelievable. It's well worth the cash and no further mods are required, other than changing the oil more frequently.
One word of caution, if you car is under the manufacturers warranty it is common that ECU updates will be done. Some cars have their ECU's reflashed by the dealer almost at every service, others not so much. If the dealer mentions that there is a software update available decline to do it and say you just don't have time and you'll do it another time.
They will require you to sign the work order and state that the car has not been reprogrammed.
Cheers,
