Tiptronic question for Allroad experts
Is the Tiptronic that comes with the 4.2 V8 Allroad different/better than the one on the 2.7tt model? I have seen several people post on Audiworld about how their Allroad tiptronics would suffer a torque converter failure following which the torque converter would feed its guts to the trans destroying both in the process. Pretty much all the post were from V6 owners.
Is the 4.2 V8 Allroad tiptronic susceptible to the same fate as well?
Thanks - Richard

Re: Tiptronic question for Allroad experts
I've read on another forum they are indeed the same, at least to the point the dreaded Torquer Converter seal is the same anyways.
However I don't think there are too many early model years V8's in Canada, and after 2004 vin's ending ***24000 or greater have the new updated part in them. So really the lack of V8 Allroads on the road, might be why you don't hear much about them.
