Allroad air ride

Allroad air ride
Last night i came out of my house to find the front passenger corner sitting way lower than the rest of the car. The air ride was set in its lowest setting. When i started the car i hopped out and watched it raise itself up about 2".
Anyone have any idea's? Is it an air bag leak and if it is, does it mean the compressor is running all the time? Would i hear it outside the car?

Re: Allroad air ride
If it's a slow leak, some allroad users have experienced success with 'slime'. Seriously. Certainly on the Audiworld forum if you ran a search there. Probably here too I'd guess.

Re: Allroad air ride
I dont know if your still haviing this problem but it sounds like there is a leak in one of your airbags which alone would be very expensive to fix, the moter will only kick in after going about 60 km per hour for comfort purposes so you might not hear it. If i were you I would call your local audi Repair shop and figure out how to disengage the auto level system which would stop your compressor from burning out which could be more the 3000-4000 dollers for the repair. Hope this helps a bit

Re: Allroad air ride
Understood but was just curious what slime is as I will be troubleshooting a leaking C5 Allroad air suspension shortly. System pumps up while engine is running but deflates with engine off. If it's a leaking bag, a temp fix would be good until new part is ordered and installed.

Re: Allroad air ride
Totally common on the Allroad and getting around that $800 is near impossible. Some people switch to coilovers. I personally like the AR for the suspension...
That slime must be a temp fix because if the suspension moves closer to or away from the leaking area it must move the slime with it .... wouldn't it?
