2005 4.2L Allroad - Wheels upgrade advice
Hello fellow Audi Enthusiasts,
First of all I am a new member to the forum so if I have posted in the wrong spot - my apologies in advance. Now being a newb I've not really joined or interacted on many forums or sites as I'm not one to ask but rather find all answers needed to satisfy my needs by exhaustive research.
Having said that, I've been doing research on what may be the best solution for my needs but I have been coming up with multiple ideas but none really that have satisfied.
So my Alllroad has the 17in 3 piece OEM rims and I put some Winters on them as I have always used all seasons. What I want to do is keep those winters on those rims and upgrade to another set of rims. 18's, 19's? Not sure yet because I want them to be the right fit, safe, really dont want to use spacers if it is not needed.
BUT , I would like something nice, practical, ie. camping, dirt roads, pack the car, pull a boat, etc...
Can anyone provide any advice to suit my needs regarding bigger rims, weather it may be OEM or not as well as not break the bank at the same time.
Thanks
Andyman

Hi Andyman
One resource you might find helpful is the allroad FAQ website. They have a wheel guide that is reasonably comprehensive. allroadFAQ.Com - allroad Wheel and Tire Fit Guide
I have a 2001 that I bought a second set of wheels for from this site. I think they were a S4 fitment, but I made them work with a spacer on the front, and hub adapter rings for the centers. Mine were 17", but I think you will have the same sort of issues.
Good hunting!
