Default Only 19, 3rd Audi Already

Hey guys,

I am 19 and live in NEPA (Northeast Pennsylvania). The weather here is bad at times so the Quattros are amazing. Got my first Audi and first car when I was 16. It was a white 01 Audi A4 Quattro 1.8T . Great car with lots of extras, got it off a lady that hit a dear and did minimal front end damage. My old man owns a european repair shop so I have access to some good deals. Paid $2000 for it fixed it for another $1500 and the book value on it at the time was still up around $8000 or $9000 so I made out well and it still has a clean title.

I sold that about 2 months ago for $7000 and bought a red 01 Audi Quattro 2.8 Avant for $3200. Nice little car with black leather interior and the Bose sound. Funny thing is I didn't keep it long.

A guy brought his 04 A6 2.7T S-Line, beautiful condition might I say, into my Dad's shop where I work now while I am taking a bit of time off school. He started it up one morning when it was -18 degrees outside and it started smoking. He insisted it was headed for trouble so he brought it in. My dad gave him a few ideas of what it could be, and he wanted to think for the worst, so he didn't even want us to look into it for him, he was gonna go trade it in. He thought it kicked a turbo and thought he would trade it into the Chevy dealer for $4500. I know what a shame. So I decided to be a nice guy and offered him $5000 for it. He quickly jumped on my offer and we settled things that weekend with the title. We came to find out it was smoking cause he put his own spark plugs in and didn't tighten one enough. So all the fuss was over nothing. Now I have a $12000 car for pennies on the dollar. Didn't put a dime in it yet, and a week after I bought it i had my Avant sold for $6800.

I know enough stuff to get by with the car, but I was looking on here and have seen some useful stuff already, like ridding myself of the pesky electronic limiter. Really what is the fun of having this beautiful piece of German engineering if you can't squash your buddies in their mustangs and hopped up hondas.

EDIT: Just a question, I haven't gotten a chance to really see its full potential. I bout the car recently so the snow has been on the road, the electric limiter is now off but I haven't taken it over 110 due to road conditions. Just curious if anyone knows what the top speed on the 04 A6 2.7T S-Line without the limiter.

Hey welcome to the forum, glad you found us. At 19 you already have quite the experience with Audi. The 2.7T you have is a monster. There is so much you can do to make it go fast. One of our members here in the Golden Horseshoe Club has one that is heavily modified. It was one of the fastest cars I have been in.

Good luck and stick around.

Yeah, I work with my dad, he owns the shop. He mainly deals with Audi, VW, BMW, Volvo and Mercedes. He does a few SAABs here and there but not too much, and he is beginning to not like the headaches that come with the people that buy the Mercedes. Plus now Audi and BMW are stomping all the competition.

And working with him, I am able to get cars that are light wrecked and go to the auctions and find some great deals.
