New A4 B6 1.8T 03 owner in Mtl
Hi, we (I & wife) came in the Audi owner groups a couple of months ago, and we're very happy with that!
We were looking for changing our car for a larger one, maybe for a Corolla or something similar (we wanted a quite reliable car, so we were focusing mainly on Japanese by the time). A car seller told us he didn't have any Jap saloon, but that he had a A4 that could fit our needs. I was first reluctant, for the maintenance cost ; but after a few tens of seconds we changed our mind and we wanted to see it. And now she's in our parking
The car seems to have no issue: consumption seems normal, around 10-12L in town (min 8L, max 20L during acceleration). All the electronics and mechanics work. Only "issues" are: a few cracks on the driver seat, and a missing cap on the small storage space on the central console, on the left of the warning button. Previous owner was a woman, which probably help keeping the interior clean.
On the mechanical side, the maintenance guide was filled for the whole Audi warranty, but no further information was written. So I rushed to change the oil and to check the timing belt aspect (which seems to have been changed 20.000km ago, so I'm relieved for this part).
In the end, we're very pleased with this car: comfortable, seems solid, fast (but not sportive - fine for our family car). Waiting for the snow to arrive to see how good the Quatro system helps here
And happy to have this forum available for curiosity and maintenance information.

I've found a thread on a (French, sorry if you cannot read - still it has lots of pictures) forum, of a guy who added lots of options on his A4-B6: backward radar, computer, speed regulator, change some of his interior decoration...
Here: www . forum-auto.com/marques/audi/sujet5222.htm#t176379
EDIT: one of his trick
How to reset the timer before next service?
1: Keep the "engine" button pushed (between "CHECK" and "0.0")
2: Turn key
3: Release button
4: "SERVICE" or "SERVICE IN xxx km" should now be displayed
5: Push "0.0" until the service timer changes.
6: The new value should now be displayed
7: Remove key
