Looong time member, first time poster!
Hey guys, I've been a member of this forum for quite some time but until now never got around to post anything. Primarily due to the fact that I haven't ever owned an audi and therefore had no practical knowledge to make a valuable input in the discussions. I did find answers to many questions though and always considered this board a great resource.
Now here's my story: I have always wanted an audi tt ever since it first saw one back in 99. At that point I even resorted to trying to convince my dad (for the first and the last time in my life) to buy me one, on the grounds that it had my initials on it. Clearly it didn't work, but i had to try.
Ever since then i've always wanted one and while owning many other cars kept on looking. Was ready to purchase a brand new one in '08 just to find out that i can't get an MK2 2.0t with 6spd manual. The disappointment cooled me off for a few months, and made me realize i'd have to look for a used car.
So now the happy times have come and this week (if everything goes well) I should be picking up my dream car. It was originally listed on this board, but the seller didn't reply to my pm's until after he traded it in for a different audi.
It is a 2005 225 grey (but not for long) TT. I already have quite a few things planned out for it: coilovers, downpipe, BPV, iPod adapter are the forst things i need to do. And I would appreciate ANY input on those items you can provide me, biased or not.

ok, so i've had my baby for 2 months now and I think it's time to do a proper introduction of her to the world...
This is what she looked like 2 months ago when I picked her up from the dealership:
and this is what she looks like now:
(despite what it looks like the rims are actually fluorescent red, although many argue that they are safety orange)
Right now the work is still in progress, but here's a brief outline of what has been done:
Tumor delete (done first day it was on my driveway)
APR turbo-back
APR tune
Innovate OT-2 (which turned out doesn't really work on my car aside from showing my rpms)
Neuspeed sways
Neuspeed intake
Koni coilovers have been inherited from the first owner (thanks seinsmeld13!)
Dieselgeeks sigma6 short shifter
Forge splitter valve
Forge inlet pipe
Bi-xenon headlights
LED strips parking lights (front and rear)
Side reflector delete and CF headlight housing wrap
LED side markers
Powdercoated stock rims (with all this i need to do some saving up for the rims that I want)
and a full body (and some interior) CF wrap
Of course there's always something more to do, so I will try to do updates as work progresses.
