Hi from East Toronto
Hi, a few month ago i purchased the Audi A4 quattro 1.8 T. I am a satisfied driver and i love my audi. I have always been fond of the German cars and now am proud to own an Audi and a Jetta. I was pleasantly surprised by this site, and am glad to discuss information on the audis'. I have a general question; i bought my car with 115 K, and without knowing the history of the car would like advice on what preventative maintenance and checks to take with the car?
Thanks, Nash

You should probably try to find out which dealer serviced your car. Would be a good idea to check the dealership where the car was sold, maybe they did your maintenance as well.
I believe between 120-140k you should do your timing belt, at which time they will also look at your other belts and water pump at the same time, as the front is apart.
Other than that, if there is nothing wrong, just stick to regular oil changes etc etc...

I would cange Timing belt/ water pump ASAP! If you plan on keeping the car - Autobox fluid and filter (lifetime means the life of the warranty), differential fluid ( you have 3 of them) p/s flush, brake flush, while your at it throw in some new spark plugs and air filter.

Re: Hi from East Toronto
Thank you, I appreciate the suggestions posted. Sometime soon I will go down to the dealership and try to get information about the car's history. Might anyone be familiar with timing belts, and the best possible place to get this changed?.
Thanks again, Nash
