Help on setting oil consumption issues with Audi Canada
Good Day Everyone,
I need some help and direction on settling excessive oil consumption issue with Audi Canada.
Vehicle is 2013 Q5 with 135000 KM. Following two expensive oil consumption tests which cost
me almost CAD 900, Audi is saying they will cover only for the parts to fix the engine which is around CAD 2000
and i will have to pay the labor of around CAD 4000.
What i found its a known issues with Audi. Therefore wondering if there is any recourse i can take to
pursue Audi cover the cost to fix this.
Thanks for your input.

So how did you make out with this, as Audi just gave me the same offer with my 2012 Q5? Did you end up getting it fixed and if so, did it solve the oil consumption issue?

Count me in on the class action lawsuit too. 2013 A4 needed an engine rebuild. Fought with the dealer and Audi Canada for a year before Audi Canada agreed to pay for 70 percent of engine rebuild to replace pistons. Cost was still $1700 for me. People on here have been talking about a class action for years we'd all be getting thousands of dollars back if we finally take action. Let's hit the go button. Anyone that wants to head it reach out to me. I'm willing to help organize and be named.

I wonder if anything came of this? The engine blew in my 2011 A4 with all of 75k on it this morning - low oil pressure light went on (1st time ever) just prior to it seizing. Would like to do whatever I can to get something out of Audi for what really looks like a recall issue.

I am interested in a class action lawsuit if we are able to start one. They are asking me to cover $2500.00 + HST for the pistons and piston rings to be replaced when this was brought up under warranty.

Re: Help on setting oil consumption issues with Audi Canada
I purchased a used 2011 A5 S-line what bothers me is that it should have been a recall and fixed long ago but after looking at the buyers package it was a lease vehicle that got sold private after that got obviously dumped back to a different manufacturer dealer who also dumped it onto a private buyer who then dumped it to me. My issue is that Had the original dealer not dumped it or told the first actual owner not leasee that there was an issue to watch for as in 2013 0r the 2014 model they fixed it ,then all cars would have been retrofitted and fixed. Instead they hid the issue extended the ability to fix it without contacting any of the owners. Plus they said oil consumption was normal and not covered, yet drive a 2014 or newer AUDI 2.0L Turbo and it burns no oil. So to me they mislead or misinformed owners and no matter how far past mileage or time they should still be responsible. Had the last owner contacted AUDI when he noticed the consumption he would have gotten it fixed but he dealt with your normal crooked dealers that wanted him to pay stupid money for tests and they discouraged him from doing them as all he ever heard was it was normal. So why pay hundreds for them to tell you it's normal when you know its not and feel you have no recourse.. I contacted AUDI as soon as I got it and basically was told too bad its past the fix it date.I begged for them to at least help me with parts and they said sorry can't help you. I contacted them again through email and never got responded to. So sign me up for whatever class action suit you have or are starting. It's a known issue that was fixed in the newer models so they can't say they didn't know. They did and decided to hid it and deceive the customers like you and I !!!
