Hello
Hi,
I just wanted to introduce myself on the forum.
I don't currently own an Audi, but I'm in the process of moving to Calgary, and I hope to order a Q5 to have it ready when I get there in late May.
This forum has been very helpful in helping me make my decision, now the only thing left is to see what kind of discount I can get in Calgary (I hear not much) and whether the sunroof is worth the cost.

Re: Hello
Welcome to the Audi forum.
I hear that Q5s are rare. Might be hard to order one for delivery anytime soon.
Welcome to Calgary when you get here. Should be nice weather by then.
I have always enjoyed a sunroof, great for mountain travel. Resale is probably worth it if nothing else. I see a Q5 listed in the paper at the dealer this weekend, not sure of the details on it. Probably loaded, most are it seems. Try New and Used Audi Dealership | Calgary, AB | Glenmore Audi or New and Used Audi Dealership | Calgary, AB | Royal Oak Audi both the same owner but operated as separate dealerships. Hope that helps.

Re: Hello
Thanks very much for the info and the welcome.
I didn't even think too much about the resale value of the sunroof, but that alone might sway me over. I have been in touch with someone at Glenmore Audi, but I'm going to start calling Royal Oak as well as the dealer in Edmonton to see if they can give me a better deal. I was told I can get one by the end of May, which would work out perfectly for my timing there.

Re: Hello
well being able to have some time to shop around is nice too! that way you can play hard ball and work on the price. i did that when i got my car. got the whole tour, specs, pricing, test drive and he wouldn't budge on the price anymore so i said thanks but its not going to work for me at that price. well by the time i got home there was already a message on the machine saying it was mine with better price and 120,000km warranty tossed in as well if i would like to come back! lol

Re: Hello
Thanks for all of the comments. I could't wait (I wanted to new Q5 to be ready for me in Calgary when I got there) so I put in an order. I ended up ordering a brilliant black Q5 with black interior, B&O sound system, Nav package and sunroof (thanks to the comments). Hopefully there are no delays and it's ready for me when I get to Calgary.
I ended up ordering from Glenmore Audi. It wasn't the greatest deal but I got the free Audi Care ($750), SPP discount ($500) and they waived the financing fee ($595). I was also able to opt out of the $800 fee they charge for locking bolts and mud flaps. I don't know if I would have done much better given the high demand for the product, and I didn't want to wait much longer. Now the waiting begins!
