Oil Levels below min

Oil Levels below min
I drive a 2010 TTS and purchased it off a 2 year lease rough 5,000 km's ago. I happened to check the oil last week and noticed the levels were below the min level. Is it normal for the engine to burn through that much in such a time span?

It's appears to be pretty normal to burn through some oil on the mkii. I use about a quart of oil for every 8000 Kms or so. Since the oil change interval is every 15000 I always check around half way and add some oil.

burning oil is not normal.... the dealer will tell you it is for all kind of reason.... keep track of your oil consumption.

Re: Oil Levels below min
My dealer told me the same thing, "it is" normal for all 2.0TFSI as he says. If we compare with others manufacturers, they change oil at max 8k (maybe 10k with synthec). So 15k is good enough but maybe too much for some kind of oil brand.

Re: Oil Levels below min
FYI; I have a 2008 TTS 2.0 coupe. At 34000 miles the TT was using oil @1 qt per 900 miles. Audi did an oil cosumption test and verified the usage. Approx 900 miles later it was necessary to add another qt and Audi did another comsump test and verified the usage. They replaced the engine with a new motor from the factory. No charge. Any questions post and I willanswer.

Re: Oil Levels below min
Slyman, mine was also used with 22000 miles and from US. Noticed oil usage immediately. Went to dealer and documented my findings and concern, the rest is as I mentioned in previous post. dealer was very cooperative. Whole process with tests and service replacing entire motor was about 2 months. Maybe if you are unsuccessful with the dealer, contact Audi USA-Canada with your TT problem. Hope this helps
