Instrument Cluster lights

Instrument Cluster lights
I just changed the right rear brake light in my 2003 TT 225. I tested the light before securing the housing and it worked fine, but after driving a very short distance, i got an indicator light that I had worn brake pads. I had the car in for scheduled service in December and was told the brake pads were fine. I parked the car for about an hour, and when i came back, the brake pad indicator was gone, but the brake light indicator was back, and the lights in my instrument cluster only came on when the brake was engaged. I checked my driving lights and brake light, and the whole right side in the rear of the car is now completely out. Any thoughts???

Re: Instrument Cluster lights
If the whole right rear tail light assembly is dark then it suggests no ground connection to the assembly.
Recommend remove right rear tail light assembly again and reseat the main electrical connector to the assembly, check that all bulbs are correct type for each socket and that each bulb is seated correctly.

Re: Instrument Cluster lights
I purchased a tail light and brake light bulb from an Audi dealership. (first time I used 1157 bulbs form a gas station -- thought hey were universal). The problem turned out to be a blown fuse for the right rear indicator lights. I replaced the fuse and it lasted about a day before blowing again. Any ideas?
