2002 audi tt coupe over heating wen stopd
i have a 2002 audi tt coupe alms eddition 225hp quattro . i just replaced the black fuse box over the battery because i fried and melted a fuse in the old box that runs the fans witch was causing the car to over heat wen i was at a stop sign or trafic light. after replacing that black fuse box the fans wer runing all the time and the car ran great for a couple weeks . now its back to over heating when i am stopd. wen i am driving the car it goes back to 90 almost instantly. i was told to replace the fan control module but i cant seem to find it or find a diagram on how to do it. if any one has some suggestions on how i could go about replacing this fan control module or if it might be something els i would greatly apreciate it.

Hi
Rob from Scotland in the uk here, The fan control module / relay is situated underneath the battery tray.....here's a picture of what you should be looking for
I've also added the labeled connections / fuses for reference

I HAD TO HAVE 5 POSTS SO I COULD POST A URL LINK TO HELP YOU ,jUST IN CASE YOU THOUGHT I WAS A "dUMB ***"who didn't know how to use the message board ......lol
Hi,
The cooling fans are a common problem with the VW / VAG / Audi cars, In the uk we have the VW Golf in the USA its called the VW Rabbit, basicly the same vehicle. They have the same cooling fans as an Audi TT
If you follow the link below and try to read and follow it, even though its in a "different language" ....English .... . It's a bit long but worthy of your time, it should help you or at least give you better insight into the "workings" of the cooling fans
It's difficult to diagnose what your problem is fully just by what you have written , There could be more than one problem, but I'll try my best to give and share what knowledge I have. I'm also a member of the www.tt-forum.co.uk
Here's the link below

hope some or all is of use
