Tire Size Calibration

Tire Size Calibration
Pretty much a newbie to the Audi scene, but every other vehicle I've had in the last several years the ECU can be reprogrammed for tire swaps so I'm assuming this to be the case with my 02 A6 2.7T?
Should that be the case what is needed to flash it/where can I get it done/at what cost?
If that's not the case what CAN be done.
My exact situation is I need to replace the 235/45/17 winter tires that are on my rims with a summer set and 235s aren't quite wide enough for my rims so want to go to 245/45s, which while only 1/2" taller on average, is still enough to throw the speedo out some.
Cheers

Re: Tire Size Calibration
I lowered my car with H&R race springs and mounted some Ruff racing 18X8.5 but my old tires were getting worn out really bad and really fast on the inside after I lowered it! We don't need a special camber kit or anything just a 4 wheel alignment right?
