TFSI issues?

TFSI issues?
Hello fellow Audi owners!
I own a 2017 Audi A4 TFSI quattro, it has just over 100K kms and I have been very happy with it. It drives really well and I love the turbo engine.
I have been following the manufacturer's recommended service and maintenance schedule and only use Premium Gasolene. Touch wood, the car runs great and have had practically no issues.
I was cautioned by an independent Audi mechanic that the TFSI engine comes with inherent issues such as causing carbon build-up in the valves leading to engine failure. He highly recommended purchaing extended warranty directly from Audi. He feels really strongly about this, and as much as I hated hearing what he had to say, I cannot ignore it. Which is why I am posting this question here.
I wanted to find out if anyone has run into engine troubles due to the TFSI engine?
Please reply, I am curious to find out what to expect down the road.
thanks
