Monthly Project

Monthly Project
Just a quick see as to what everyone's planning on doing to their Audis within the next 4 weeks. Here is what I have planned:
A4 - Wash, polish, wax.
A6 - Upper control arms, tie rod ends, alignment.

Re: Monthly Project
Well besides my obvious project of getting my fuel line fixed...
- changing spark plugs
- checking/changing tie rods and ends
- wheel alignment
- check timing
I hope these all go alright. Always learning with this car.

Re: Monthly Project
Hey Tarpan! How are things going? Hope everything with the car is doing well. I tried tinting my windows on the weekend and it all went to s**t. I'm going to pay a professional to do it for me. It didn't turn out well and it's trickier than I thought. But then again I'm a perfectionist so it's difficult for me to have it turn out exactly my way. Hope things go well with your car, I'd like to see it in person. I haven't posted on the Vancouver Audi Club forum in a while, I'll stop by there sometime to see what everyone's up to. See you at the next meet!

Hey Lyosha,
Thanks a lot for the fuel hose. I wanted to ask you if you know if it is high pressure rated at all?
The car is still a slow-work-in-progress. Gotta love BCIT and their work load! I've got a few ideas for the fuel line but I'm close. It's just a matter of finding time to do it all. :P
Aw that sucks! I've never tried tinting myself. I've always gotten a friend of my brother's to do it. It's worked out pretty well. If you're driving an Audi, why would you settle for anything less than perfection? haha
Cheers man. If you are in Surrey on a weekend ever, give me a shout. Hopefully I can see you folks at the next meet. It would be even sweeter if I brought the car with me lol.

I'm all over the lower mainland every day of the week. I commute 120km on a daily basis. I'm down for chilling and meeting up when I have spare time. I've been really busy lately.
If you're not able to bring your car then you can bring one of mine. I have two Audis and I can only bring one to the meet unless someone else brings my other.

Re: Monthly Project
Oh yeah, that fuel hose is rated for higher pressure than anything you can find on your car. It's rated at a continuous 690kPa or roughly 100psi. It's burst rating is 6200kPa to 900psi. It will work on any non-direct injection (FSI) applicaton.

Re: Monthly Project
It's all good, I'm happy to help another Audi owner in need. Remember that the hose was originally for my old CBR race bike project, so if it works for a race bike it'll work for a street car. I hope to see your ride soon, those Audi coupes are so rare!

Re: Monthly Project
Your ride rocks, even bone stock it looks great. I miss having a project car. My A6 is my current project car but it's more of a high maintenance thing more than a project. A car like that begs to be driven. And it's a manual! Damn I miss having a manual transmission in a car. Tiptronic is okay but manual rocks!
