Here is how to Reset the Service Light on Audi A4 1999 1/2 (Canada)
1 Hold the right button on the dash
2 Turn the ignition to on while holding the right button (You should see Service Oil or something like it)
3 Pull the left button and hold it while the right button is still pushed in
4 Now release the Right Button you will see ---
5 Release the Left button and without the clutch and in neutral switch the ignition to start and then turn it off.
I am not sure why but if I don't turn the ignition to the start position before I take the key out the service light goes to --- but then on the next start it come back ! ? !

Good luck!

Alleluia! I have a 1996 A4 and have been trying every one of these procedures unsuccessfully... this posting explains it all. Thank you for the thorough explanation.

Hi
I have a 2008 TT and I've worked out how to reset the oil service but not the full service light.
Does anyone know how to do this. I have tried so many ways and can't get it to reset?
Thanks
