Hey 1move,
Great initiative!
I think most people are shy or see no direct benefits or are engaged in other forms of free time activities....
I've never been a part of any king of car club, do not know how does it function, what to expect..
Would you state some sample club pricing on the very consumative items - like oil and oil filters?

Re: How many Calgary Members on this site?
Hi, I live in Calgary and have a 1999 A6 Avant. No mods yet, I tried to do an ECU fom SpeedTuning but it throws a CEL. Hopefully I can figure out what's up with it. I'm really more of a SAAB guy having had a modified 5 of them over th years. Currently have a 2002 9-3SE with bilsetins, BSR PPC ECU, upgraded rear anti sway bar and steering rack clamp.
thinking of holding on to the A6 for w hile and maybe doing the PES thing down the road. Cheaper than buying a new one. I'd like to get rid of some of the excessive body roll on the A6, I've looked into sawybars and Konis for it but can't find any info on stiffer springs for it that don't drop it. I've already lost one front bumper to a parking lot curb ( wife driving ) and don't want he car any lower.

As far as oil and oil filters go, it all depends on how many members etc. We would do a monthly meet which is optional, for about an hour or maybe even longer depending on how much fun we are having. Its just practically a social club trading contacts knowledge etc, about things we love most (Audi's) do trips, BBQ's, etc. a lot of fun stuff I am open to suggestions and some of the guys on here have met me and I have helped them out as well, I would like to ask those members to come forward and share your experiance, so we show people that it is acutally educational and fun. It benefits all of us in a way, because there is something that I might know and something that you might know, and we can avoid the dealer raping us. I ask all of you guys who are interested and are debating weather or not to give up an hour of your free time, to come out and try it. See if you like it, if not than no harm done if you do like it than come out whenever you can. It is not manditory, most of our events are going to be held in the summer, I am going to try and get a track booked for us so we can see how our cars do on it.

Buy just out of warranty and deal with dependable local indy shops, or DIY. I have not been happy with Gmore Audi either, but I am learning alot about my A6 and doing it myself.
