Few Questions Regarding Buying a New TTS/Used TT RS
I currently drive an 07 Infiniti G35x and an considering an upgrade; either a new 2012 TTS or a low miles TT RS. I would buy the vehicle from the states and import it myself to save significantly.
Few questions:
- How is the reliability of Audi's these days? Will maintainence be fairly comparable to the G35x while the car is under warranty.
- Our local Audi dealer is Mark Motors and I haven't heard too many nice things said about them. From what I've read Advanced Autowerks is probably the place to go for service. Does anyone know what basic oil changes/service would cost there.
- To anyone else who has imported an Audi from the USA, did customs use the purchase price on the bill of sale or the Red Book value. My concern is that if I'm saving about 15-20k buying a vehicle from the US slightly used I would still be required to pay the tax on the 20k saved due to the higher red book value.
Thanks for your help!
