Default Audi Dealership - Finding problems

So, here's my story,

I had to get some replacement keys done up for my 2001 Allroad so I ended up taking it to the dealer. While it was there, I decided to get them to fix a leak I was getting in my vacuum hose. While they were at it, they seemed to find about 8 other issues with my car that my regular mechanic (Eurotech) didn't find less than a month ago.. Are they fishing for my dollars? Most of it seemed to be minor leaks, some issues with the wheel rods being a little loose, and a couple of other things.. I've not noticed any issues with how it drives. Regardless, the total to get it all fixed will be close to $4k!!

I'm not getting any of it done right now, but in your experience, is this typical of the dealer's mechanic to find this many issues?

Sounds about typical. Some members refer to the dealerships as Stealerships. Now don't get me wrong, there are some great mechanics there and some great people to deal with however I haven't come across any.
