Newbie looking for rims
Just bought a 2004 S4 Avant last week. The guy I bought it from had winter tires on the OEM wheels. I am looking at getting summers on 19's asap. Would appreciate any advice on the change...
Will the ride on 19's be too harsh for my stock suspension?
Any rim manufacturers I should avoid? I saw a nice RS4 replica by Velocity Wheels (never heard of them). Also considering a Hartmann replica or the BBS CH...
Speaking to one guy and he said I should stick to a 235/40 on the 19 (rather than a 35 profile/series)?!?!!! He said it will be bigger (and throw off the speedo etc.), but the ride won't be as harsh and I won't bend the new rims. Seems wonky. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance for the help guys!!

Re: Price... No set price range. I would rather spend more for quality and have the piece of mind that my rim won't be bent if I hit a pothole on the 401!
Re: Design/Style... Not totally set on a specific style. I really like the RS4 replica by Velocity (agree that it looks the best). Do you know anything about the quality of Velocity Wheels? How about the quality of the Hartmann replicas?
