Re: Waterloo Area People
Oops - 2.0T, Auto (yes, boring).
Oh! - I am spending a good deal of $$ on the car because it's going to be my new child. Planning ceramic tint all around, 3m clear car bra, bumper+fender+hood+mirrors, and underbody rust proof + oil in doors. Plan to clay the car over when I get it and wax it twice.
There is someone in town I trust to the Nth level. He's always looked out for my previous cars and we've become good "friends" as can be. If you want car washes + waxes etc, tinting etc, go to A1 car cleaning on University Ave near the Williams there (between King + Weber), and ask for the Owner "Chris". Tell him Vincent sent you and you should get a discount. He knows I'm **** about my car and he always does make sure everything is absolutely perfect (even the $15 hand washes) before he hands it back.
Heck, if we all get together i'm sure we can get a bigger discount.

Re: Waterloo Area People
I have no experience on theft recovery systems, Boomerang is the one I hear advertised all the time.
Your car is pretty hard to steal on its own though, with the factory immobilizer and all, so Im not sure its worth the investment. And I don't see K-W has a hotspot for auto thefts either.

Re: Waterloo Area People
True, but at only $6/month, it's hard to ignore...i'm getting all worked up again about people jacking my car. I know these things have a tilt sensor, are the wheel locks worth it then?...thanks Jurjen

Re: Waterloo Area People
LOL wheel locks are definitely worth it. 15 bucks and it your wheels are safe. For $6/month, why not? I was expecting it to cost a lot more.
Just keep in mind your car will not start without your key (its got a chip in it) so unless thieves are rolling around with a flatbed, your car isn't going anywhere without you!
