Welcome to the forum:
Our members have gobs of technical questions. Personally my TT 225 has just gone out of warranty and, of course, the day the warranty expired I started again having problems with cold starting (kind of like the Canucks). This has been something the dealer has struggled with for the past several months. They have replaced the coolant temp sensor, but it only worked long enough for the warranty to expire. It takes three starting cranks on cold mornings to get it to actually fire up. Any ideas?
Thanks

do you happen to have any trouble codes? or any specific symptoms? like it runs rough first thing in the morning after it's been outside all night? does it act up when the engine is hot? if you can give me as much info as possible I can try and narrow down a few possibilities, but it's really hard to pinpoint without seeing the vehicle and knowing first hand the problems your encountering.

Thanks Mike:
I have no fault codes. The main symptom is that it cranks and won't start the first or sometimes the second time, the third time it always starts but it does run a bit rough for the first 20 seconds or so, then it settles down and runs smoothly. Once the engine is warm, it's like silk and has all the power I would expect. This is all no big deal, just a little embarrassing when I have a passenger and it takes three tries to get it started. Thanks

I've been having the same time of issue with my TT 180, after searching lots of articles on audiworld.com i plan on changing the following items.

-Fuel Filter(my starting problems are mainly when the gas tank is <1/4 full)
-New spark plugs

I will let you know how it turns out after i change these parts.
