Audi Driving Experience?
Anyone planning on doing this? I went to the BMW M3 Tour last year at MoSport, and it was a pretty darn cool event.

Would be nice to hear from people that have done this in the past (if they had this in the past?). At $400 or so after tax, it isn't inexpensive and the last thing you want to end up happening is that you go to watch other people drive or have 10 seconds in the actual car.
The BMW one was great as they taught you how to take each corner of the MoSport track and you were able to take the corners in each of the C63, 911 and M3 before taking the M3 out on the full track, then having the lap in the car with a trained driver was pretty cool as well.

Re: Audi Driving Experience?
I just did a bit more reading on the course, sounds like it's more of a "driving" course than a "racing" course. I.e., it's focused on driving safety vs performance driving. There is some sort of Audi Racing Experience or something along those lines but that hasn't made its way to Canada. Could be wrong though.

There's something on the site about a "timed street performance drive" at the end in the A6 or something.
There's also a hotlap with the R8 too apparently, but you're in the passenger seat for that one.

I wish they'd give you the option to use your own cars for some of the things after signing a disclaimer or something though...

Re: Audi Driving Experience?
I experienced the 11:30 group yesterday (Oct 6th) and it was quite the experience. It is a session led by experienced race car drivers as instructors where you learn techniques that can save your life. 1/2 the program is in a 2012 A6, and the other in an S4. Slalom, emergency breaking, recovering from under-steering, and over-steering (without ESP assist engaged), and also evasive manoeuvring to avoid an object ahead were part of the curriculum. All of the above was in a safe, controlled environment with lots of safety cones for you to knock down. The session ended with a ride in an R8, where you really got to appreciate how amazing those professional race car drivers are and how much power there is in that car!
Definitely a fun experience and although I have been driving for over 20 years (accident free).... I did learn a few things in the event of an emergency, and I now know how far you can push these cars!

I was in the 8am group today (Oct 12th) and thoroughly enjoyed it. Learned some important techniques for car control but mostly that these cars can be pushed much further than I expected. I wished the S4 session was longer as it was immensely fun.
The A6 session was more subdued but you still got to throw it around a slalom and stand on the brakes. Testing out the Head-up display, night vision and adaptive cruise control allowed me to get my gadget fix.
The instructors were great especially when they tell you to go faster and be more aggressive.
The highlight was the R8 run (spyder or coupe) which is quite astonishing to experience. 140km/h in the parking lot with the top down and the glorious sound, you can't help giggling like a school girl.
Oh and just for kicks they brought an orange R8 GT of which only 333 will exist. In the world.
