Isn't it beautiful...

I absolutely agree...
As a past owner of the "D2" body style, and current owner of the "D3", I can't think of another sedan I would prefer to drive at this point (other than the S8, coming soon to a theatre near us).

Only one beef with the a8 and its A BIG ONE
THEY DEPRECIATE LIKE NO TOMORROW. I was looking at one for my dad and it was 107,000 for the 2005 audi a8L and beside it is the exact same one in the same colour being silver, same options same everything and only 25,000 kilometers on it. They were letting it go for 66,000. IM LIKE WHAT THE FUNK!He was like hell no. That thing depreciated beyond depreciation it was rediculous i dont think cars drop like thta in value unless its a mercdez or something but this is outrageous im not sure what would cause this and also not sure of the condition of this car. It looked sweet but my dad wants some salvage value at the end of what every period of financing he chooses. I was really shocked. 41,000 drop in value in one year. Is this normal for these ultra hight luxury sedans. Anyhow he said no and will wait for the q7 to arrive cause that thing is out of control.

Wow, I would have thought Audi's hold their value pretty well...but those high end sedans around $100,000 often have re-sale value problems.
Can we see a link to this $66,000 A8L, if possible?

Expensive cars like these depreciate much quicker than say an A4/3er/C-Class.
MY2002 745Li can be had for, starting at $50,000. Go figure. Granted their value took a plunge after the MY2006 facelift.
The kind of expensive cars that have better resale would be certain AMG models, M3s, and something along those lines.
