Widest tire and wheel 19" combo
I am just moving into an Audi, after being a Merc guy for over 10yrs........
I am very familiar with max wheel and tires applications for a variety of Mercs, but not on the Audi.
Ordering up an S4 and as I always swap out wheels (a personal pref. to individualize I guess) I am looking to see what I can do with the S4.
Would like to keep it 19" max (too many 20" horror stories). Possibly drop about an inch. That being said, what is the optimal width (tire and wheel) to give it a maximum meaty posture without rolling fenders, etc.?
Much appreciated!

Are these on 8.5 wheels? Any idea what your offsets are and did you drop your car as well...? Greatly appreciated.

Re: Widest tire and wheel 19" combo
I have seen tdenton's car a few times and his wheels and tires look awsome as well they fill out the wheel well handily. Lowering his car maybe a max of an inch would be about all.

Re: Widest tire and wheel 19" combo
Just to let you know my 255/35/19 are stock on the 2010 Sline same as 2010 S4
I think the offset is 45 and the car is 3/4 inch lower from the factory over no Sline /S4
My offset is not the same as stock non Sline. It fills the wheel arch with some to play if you want to lower the car more.
You should consider coming to the Golden Horseshoe meet tonight (see forum) and you can see for yourself. as a future Audi owner you will be welcome in what ever you currently drive

Regarding Simply Tire. STEVELEV has dealt with them and from previous threads recommends them. I say nothing ventured nothing gained. Get a quote and compare.

Re: Widest tire and wheel 19" combo
I am planning to my 19's from Simply next spring. Going to ride it out on the 18's for now until winter.
I have looked into this wheel setup thing and generally, 255/35/19 is the safest way to go for 19x9 rims. Some people have done 20's and some have tried 265 but they don't always work. If you have time, you can read the huge thread over at audizine.
