Sparkplug connection broke on my B7 4.2 6MT
Hey everyone,
Went on a couple of trips to NY. There were times when posted speed limits were exceeded (I'm sure most of us know what I meant) The Audi ran & felt beautifully. Parked the car for several days as I enjoyed the fine weather with the convertible. Anyway, just started the Audi tonight & the engine light came/stayed on As well, she ran sorta rough. Felt like she's not running on all eight Buddy of mine & I decided to check the sparkplugs. Well, upon opening the fist bank of sparkplugs, we found one of the plugs is broken off (see pics). It was getting dark so we didn't check the other bank of plugs as of yet. Just dawned on me that I received a letter from Audi regarding ignition coil recall. I'd better give my dealer a call to see whether they have stock before taking her there. Wondering whether it's safe to drive or must it be towed?
