Default Rim choices on 2004 S4 Sedan

I am going to grab some aftermarket rims for the S4 as it needs that finishing touch.

The ride of the S4 is on the harsher side and i don't want to give up more in terms of comfort, the S4 will be primarily my wife's ride but it needs to stand out. So i am going to stay with the 18 inch size as the rim size looks good (19's might be the perfect visual size though). I am trying to keep the weight of the rim at or less than the factory Audi rim to keep performance and comfort at least as good as bone stock. And I am leaning towards rims with a polished aluminum/chrome finish in part, as there are some chrome accents on the S4 and it'll kind of tie everything together.

The rims i am considering are the:

Enkei Performace LS-R's (5 spoke machined with black inserts and chrome rivets around the lip)

Moda MD8's

Elbrus 104's (Thick 5 spoke machined finish - reminiscient of an old AMG rim)

ASA AR9's with either the carbon fiber, chrome or no insert whatsoever.

Anyone have other thoughts on rims?

Glad i spent the time to do some "footwork". Came across a line of rims that fit the S4. I just ordered these in a 19x8.5, should be here in a week or two.

For those who are interested they are the Niche Venice (Chrome):

I am also getting the rear 5 windows tinted. Will post photos once done.

My next step is to sort out the exhaust....

Where did you get the 19 x8.5's? How has the ride been?

I haven't received them just yet, they should be here shortly.

I wanted to get the window tinting done and the wheels on before i post a picture of the S4.

What i am planning to do is take my weight scale with me when the wheels get here, take a weight from the new 19's with rubber and compare it to that of the stock 18's so that i know and i can let people on this forum know as well if people are interested.

As soon as i get the rims on the car, i'll do a little write up on ride quality, handing, road noise, performace changes, etc.

I just got the rear 5 windows tinted, so i am now just waiting on the rims.....

I like the 18" stock Avus wheels on the B6

or

BBS CH

or

VMR710 ($1000) which are replicas of the HREp/m40 shown in the second pic ($5000)

The rim choices just shown are very tasteful, sporty and aesthetically great looking rims.

The problem i see with the S4 and the Chrome accents on the vehicle is that by going iwth the stock silver rims there are too many shades of silver. At very least Audi should've offered a machined version of the 18inch Avus rim on the S4 to compliment the overall design/look of the vehicle.

The Niche Venice rims will probably look a little blingy, but i am hoping the design suits the vehicle. I'll only be able to tell once the wheels are on the car.

What's nice in this day and age of modifying cars is that there are so many choices for rim choices to compliment the look of a particular vehicle making them a little individualized.

Thanks for the pics!

My wife got a call today saying the wheel package is in. I work straight through until April 28th and then will pick up the wheels/rubber and get them installed. I'll grab some quick pics and post them. I'm hoping they suit the vehicle...if not (like a bad marriage), i'll be stuck with 'em!
