New RS2 owner
Hi there,
New to this forum, just thought i'd into myself and let everyone know that i have just bought a 1994 RS2 in RS blue.
I have been a Audi owner/fan for many years and the RS2 has always been a dream.

Re: New RS2 owner
Its obviously from overseas..............check out - mobile.de and search for Audi RS2..........its not easy to import etc and is quite costly $$$$.
Firstly a good RS2 is not cheap, they start at around 12k euro( $20k) for a hich mileage, well used example and go up from there....u can see on this site that good ones are expensive.( $40k ++)..I sourced a really mint one with only 110k kms on it and its RS blue with full black recaro interior.
Parts are another issue, both sourcing and cost....but to own a legend and quite possibly the only example in N. America i was willing to "go for it".
With shipping, taxes and import inspections etc....it can add another $10k easily onto the cost of vehicle !!
You have to be quite determined ( or dumb like me ) to go through with it.
I have a friend in Hamburg who assists me on the German side.
I'll post pictures once i get it here, hopefully in about 4 weeks.
Thanks Mick -

Re: New RS2 owner
i've looked before for info on importing. is there a site. i know there is a good site, riv.ca , for importing from the US, but ive never found anything for importing from overseas, and what the regulations are.
I know of a few rs2's in the US. i think on audizine, a guy has a picture of one from the shop where his car is being worked on and it is running 600hp. that thing would be insane!

Re: New RS2 owner
You just import on the 15 year rule, the vehicle has to be 15yrs or older from date of manufacture....i don't use any web site etc, just know a guy in Germany who helpd me out.
German used car websites like mobile.de or autoscout24 are useful to find cars.
If there are any in the US, then they are probably built up examples from bare shells etc....you cannot legally import one into the US until they are 25 yrs old !!!
