Dumb exhaust question - Sorry
Hi guys,
Sorry for the stupid question as I probably know the answer but thought I'd try... Will an exhaust made for a B7 RS-4 fit a B7 S-4?
If no, who makes an exhaust that has some real rumble? Milltek, AWE, APR, etc are all nice but too tame. I want something really deep and throaty. GMG is awesome but it's only for RS-4, so is Tubi.
Thanks!

Re: Dumb exhaust question - Sorry
I test drove a B7 RS4, fabulous looking car, but lacked the "visceral" feeling i was expecting for 420hp. But your question wasn't about that.
The basic engine layout and sound is similar to the S4. The RS4 has a button that when engaged "enhances" some of the induction and exhaust sound.
I would check your exhaust system first, but if you have "NO" oxygen sensors "after" your catalytic converters, i would cut the pipes out after the cats and have a company custom make new pipes and throw on Borla/Bassani/Corsa Mufflers.
I have had several new cars, every single one modified somehow. The mufflers i chose for my S4 (Borla), haev significantly changed the tonality/sound of the engine. I love it but it's much harder on fuel now as i am always wanting to "get on" the throttle a little just to hear it.
If you want to keep your current setup but have a deeper sound, keep the resonators, cut out the stock mufflers and have someone weld in the Borla/Bassani/Corsa mufflers. You shouldn't be disappointed. I am going to try and get some audio clips of mine.
P.S. Nice choice in car! Best of luck with your exhaust modifications.
