Re: Best Brand of Gas in Toronto?
I'm working in this industry, mostly with shell, esso, sunoco and petro-canada.
1. They ad ethanol only to regular and sometimes mid-grade, never to 91 (except sunoco to 94)
2. My advice stay hell away from esso. They have this weird tank system, so that it practically garantees you NOT gonna get pure 91. Most probably it will be mixed with regular. Also, they hardly monitor the water level in the tanks.
3. Sunoco's ultra 94 is basically just the name and nothing more. They getting the same 91 just like every other gas station (the only difference between them all is what they ad in there). Sunoco adds ethanol and some other chemicals to its 91 to make it 94))). So in reality it is not 94.
4. My absolute favourite is petro-canada, its the cleanest one and almost imposible to get mix. Shell is doing pretty good job too.
