B8 Sport Diff Default Setting Change

B8 Sport Diff Default Setting Change
I have a 2011 S4 with Sport Diff but not ADS. Is there a way to change the default setting of the Sport Diff to stay in "Dynamic"? Right now the mode is reset back to "Auto" every time the ignition is turned off / on. I would like to keep it on "Dynamic" all the time. If this something that VAG COM can mod? Thanks

Re: B8 Sport Diff Default Setting Change
I don't have my car yet, so I can't claim to be an authority, but on one of the other forums, it's a regular complaint. I believe someone posted that they could change the setting of ADS through VAG-COM - if that's the case, one would think the same thing may be possible for sport diff alone?
Wish I could give a definitive answer, but it may inform your research.
What I haven't seen is anyone to do this through the normal settings in the car. In fact, it appears that the inability to set the ADS to stay on a one particular setting, or have the Nav default to map, or have the radio default to preset stations are the biggest complaints about this car.

Re: B8 Sport Diff Default Setting Change
Is yours manual or dual clutch auto? I got the dual clutch and I find that the auto setting does react quickly (I'm not robbing banks) When I start driving more spirited or start paddle/stick shifting, I can tell right away that my shifts are executed quicker and the steering is tighter. If you have the manual than driver initiated shifting is obviously the norm and maybe the only way the computer will recognize your need for some "tighter" action is by pressing the button.
On a side note, how far is your right side mirror tilting down when backing up? My caddy would show me the curb right beside the back rims. The S4 mirror is just moving by maybe 1/4" down?
