Obviously you'll have to buy the light housings, bulbs and new grill inserts (or mod your original grills). Your bumper should have the OEM mounts molded in place. Not sure if you'll need a wiring mod and / or VAG programming mod but at least one is likely.

Intercoolers get better and cooler airflow with the stock Canadian B5 S4 configuration (no lower fogs). Adding Fog lights will increase your Intake Air Temps by approx 5 degrees by restricting and heating airflow to IC's. Some folks in the US pull their fogs to achieve lowest possible IAT's for increased engine performance.

One thing I noticed when I was upgrading IC's and further increasing airflow by removing the fog mounts from the bumper skin is that the wiring harnesses were in place for the OEM Fog Lights.

I was reading about that all over the place on line... not that i'm wanting fog lights (i honestly don't see the point for it) but just out of curiosity...

simply answer - not worth it

found few other things about our Canadian S4....

no xenon lights
no memory seats
no fog lights
and no rain sensor wipers...

ah well..

Fog lights same thing If I were putting them in I would go with Xenons again
**** outta luck on the last one its an 01 but it comes on the newer models. I am sure you can probably add it if you really wanted

Not trying to sway anyone away from installing fogs. I like the look of the US Spec fogs but I'll certainly take the lower IAT's for engine performance.

The Halogen Headlight assemblies have different light beam cutoffs if considering to swap in Xenon D2S bulbs to replace the halogen headlights. For the ultimate xenon headlight setup, you would want to consider Valeo US (orange corner) or Valeo Euro (clear corner) B5 S4 Xenon Headlight assemblies, obviously need xenon balasts and bulbs too.

Speaking of upgrading to xenon headlights, we want the xenon ballasts to see power only when the headlight switch is turned on. Does anyone have a link regarding how to disable the Canadian DRL headlights so that the xenon ballasts do not see the DRL low voltage with ignition ON?
