WANTED: Sirius receiver for A4/2008
Looking for one of the following Sirius Satellite receivers for my B7/2008:
8E0 035 593 H/L
8E0 057 593 H/L
I think the following may also work, but I'll also require a 2 to 1 Antenna splitter (Terk SIR-SP):
8E0 035 593
8E0 057 593
Thx

Thats where I got mine. I doubt you can find it cheaper, even used. Don't worry about the Terk splitter you dont need it.

Also, you mentioned no need for splitter - I've read a few posts that mention the need for the splitter otherwise you will get a weak signal with possible interference - how does yours work? Also, which of the 2 inputs did you plug in your antenna?
One more thing - do you have a pic with your radio showing SAT channels? Does it show channel, artist & song?
Thx

Re: WANTED: Sirius receiver for A4/2008
I have the exact same setup as you
I read the posts metioning the requirement for the splitter. However after having searched the internet front and back it was impossible to get. They are discontinued.
So I stumbled upon a post mentioning there was no need.Works fine displays information too.
Here's an excellent DIY

Hey thx, that's great news...so I take it you have no interference, or weak signals
So, to recap:
1. Get one of these receivers: 8E0 035 593 / 8E0 057 593
2. Plug my 2 BUS cables into the respective slots in the receiver
3. Plug the antenna in one of the 2 inputs (I guess the green one)
4. Switch the CAN Bus to SAT
5. Activate
That's it? Of so, I'll order one today
Cheers!

That sums it up. Let me know if you have any troubles should be straight forward. Switching the Can bus to to Sat was the toughest. Be patient and gentle its an awkward space to work

OK, just ordered mine via eBay - Thx
2 final questions:
2 final questions:
- In SAT mode, do you see Chan/Artist/Song on separate lines, or does the song/artist scroll on a single line
- When switching back to terrestrial radio, does it still show Artist/Song as before?
