For sale is a 1 yr, 6 month old JHM Lightweight Crank Pulley for a B6/7 S4, manual or automatic doesn't matter. Price is $225, which is a substantial discount to the retail price of $350. This part is not one that will 'wear' so it is good for the life of the car. The discount is a great opportunity to grab it.

This part is a brilliant little horsepower freer-upper. It shaves 5.5lbs of rotating mass of right at the crank. This feels like a shot of 10+ hp believe it or not. It's an incredible thing when you reduce rotating mass on a car, weather that's wheels, tires, rotors, flywheel or crank pulley. Reducing weight at the crank is best, and is one of those great secrets to freeing up power.

With this part in place, along with JHM tune, and full JHM 2.5" catless downpipes + JHM Fast Intentions 2.5" x-pipe catback, my car was faster than an RS4 and ran great. It's a must have and install is a breeze, with step by step DIY available at euroaddiction.net. A shop wouldn't charge much more than 1hr of labour for install. JHM installed mine in about 25 minutes.

Price is $225 and it can be shipped anywhere (at your cost which will be like $15 max...it's weighs 1.5 lbs and is about 8"), or picked up in Oakville or the local area if you want to meet up.

ABOUT THE PRODUCT
Reducing the rotating mass of parts in or attached to the engine free up horsepower. This mod is not a drastic HP increase but it is a great piece of the puzzle coupled with many of our other parts to help maximize your naturally aspirated S4.

INSTALLATION NOTES
When doing this mod it is a great time to replace your drive belt. We sell these as well here in this section. Also it is important that you notice how tight your stock belt is prior to removal to gain access to the pulley. If you do not tighten it at least as tight as the stock belt was it will slip and squeal. Also this mod is great to do when doing a Apikol snub mount that we sell as well since it requires removal of the bumper to gain access to the pulley bolts. Also note that one bolt hole has a dowel in the stock pulley and must be removed and inserted into the JHM pulley. Then it can only go on one way. Torque all bolts to 20 ft lbs in a star pattern and we also recommend using loctite.

 

I will take the crank pulley off your hands however I can't get out to Oakville until Friday.

ok guys, but the second guy Junior ARA...it won't work on an RS4. S4 is externally balanced, RS4 is internally balanced. Different crank pulleys.

Unless you're buying for a B6/7 S4 4.2...in which case it's fine.

Of course I shouldn't say anything and create a bidding war...lol.

You should JHM tune it. Really transformed my S4 and word is the tune on the RS4 is fantastic.

Just some little things. ECS H pipe, JHM LWFW and Stage 4 clutch. Since the summer is quickly coming to an end i'm going to do some work in the spring which will include the tune. I have spoken to some people who have advised me to get some other things done in conjunction with the tune so I get the full benefit of it. Apparently, on a stock RS4 you see very little difference.

 

what tune are you referring to? I can count the number of JHM tuned RS4 owners on my hand and know most of them...not sure anyone would say that you see very little difference. Maybe with APR or the other offerings, but the JHM tune is a real game-changer for the RS4.

Best mod you can make is to make your stock downpipes into 'piggies'...in other words gutting the precat material (but leaving the main catalytic converters in tact). This, coupled with the JHM tune will allow you to pass emissions, have no CEL, and will see you gain a big whack of performance over stock.
