Re: Where to buy Audi parts?
Hi,
Most for the after market part for my car I get from the US. It is tough finding a local dealer that will not rip you off.. I have had good experience with the following companies..
TKO Motorwerks - Welcome to TKO Motorwerks (In the USA)
P.G. Performance - importers of Fine European Auto Parts and Accessories for Audi, Volkswagen (VW), BMW (In Canada, BC)
JS Performance | 1-877-557-7900 | VW/Audi Performance and Tuning (In Canada, BC)
Also my tuners... good people and excellent service
best of luck

I haven't seen any tests for the G3 supercharger, but a good way to calculate 0-60 times is (weight of car in kg's)/hp*.85using this formula, I came up with1591/318*.85 = ~ 5.9 seconds. The .85 was derived from the projected power loss of the quattro drivetrain. As for 1/4 mile times, several websites have calculators, and entering a 3500 lb curb weight they seem to all be in the mid 13's. Of course your mileage may vary, depending on whether or not you have tiptronic or manual, and if you have tip, whether or not you bought the GIAC chip that speeds up the shifting.

An Audi is probably one of the most reliable cars you will ever buy. They are german built and their manufacturing process is very complete and precise. You should feel safe purchasing any new audi. Compared to a Mercedes, it is hard to tell when it comes to reliability. I, personaly would go with an audi, more preferably the S4 than the A4. The quality and performance of an audi is hard to match when they also provide such luxury and good looks. I hope this helps.

Toronto-East feedback
Hello all!
I am new to the Forum, and I have a 2002 A4 1.7 Quattro chipped and lowered.
She's a great machine to drive: while not a large car, she is quite agile, and when not carefull she could run fast enough to lose me my licence on the spot.
For other thrills I have a 1979 Camaro: 350 (5.7) four speed... but I love my little Audi, and I do not wish for a 6 or 8, nor an S...
I get it serviced at Owasco: any comments about them?
Thanks!
Max

Help with annoying GALA feature on Bose stereo
I have an '05 A4 Avant with the Bose stereo option. It has that stupid GALA (gradual audio level adjustment) feature where the audio level increases with the ambient noise. I've read the manual to a tee and followed directions to adjust the microphone GALA sensitivity but the stereo's on screen menu doesn't even give me the that option. The GALA sensititvity menu doesn't seem to exist and it skips directly to the "Max turn on level" which sets the maximum volume when you first turn on the radio. Does anyone else have this problem with their Bose stereo??
I really would like to disable the GALA feature because it is really annoying and works rather pathetically. If I cant disable it, does anyone know where the mic is located so that I can cover or disable it so that it doesnt pick up ambient noise?
