Battery Removal
Hello all,
I am having some difficulty removing and replacing the battery on my 2003 A4 1.8T. The problem that I am having is getting to the small screw that holds down the battery. Any suggestions.
Thank you in advance.
Peter
SOLVED. Battery in place.

Need advice buying car
So this is my deal. I am looking into buying my first car on my own within the next month or two (or whenever I see something I like). As you can tell, I am not in a huge rush but basically what I am looking for is a car that is fun to drive, reliable, decent on gas, and preferably 4 doors. I prefer a good all-around car that has a bit of luxury but is practical at the same time. I have narrowed my choices along the lines of these:
2007-2008 Audi A4 (2.0T, Quattro), 2006 BMW 330i or xi, 2007ish Acura TL, or 2007 Infiniti G35 or G35x.
What I really like about the Audi is the quattro of course and decent gas mileage but the BMW gets great reviews and is equally appealing. The styling on the TL is getting old to me, but apparently the car is bulletproof. And the G35 i hear are really nice but heavier on gas.
Another factor I am considering is the maintenance costs...as the german cars are inherently more expensive in this aspect.
I am looking to spend around $30k or so and am not really into any intense modding or anything so I dont really care which car has more aftermarket following.
Do any of you or ppl you know have any experiences with any of these cars? What are the good and bad of each?
Thanks!

4 door, decent on gas, fairly luxurious, but it was quite a bit more then the $30k you want to spend. You might be able to find a used one for close to that, but I would think for used A4's you're looking into 06's.
The only advice I can say is drive them all. That's really the only way you'll find the car that suits you.

Re: Need advice buying car
I think the AUDI owner is the person who WANTS the AUDI! You must be at a point where there is no BMW... no Jaguar... no Mercedes... no other car in your head.
If you are not convinced you want one then you'll be better off with the Honda... I am sorry the Acura, or the Infinity!
Good luck!

Re: Need advice buying car
I bought an 04 A4 3.0 Quattro last week, and I absolutely LOVE it. I have a smile on my face everytime I see it, and especially when I'm driving it. I don't see myself going with any other cars from here on. I will probably upgrade to an S4 over time, but Audi all the way!
If you're not into modding, I'd recommend the 6 cylinder A4s. More straight up power than the turbo engines, and cheaper on insurance!

Re: Need advice buying car
Thanks for the feedback!
Yea I am basically down to the A4 or 3 series. I will defintely take them both for a spin. But....since you all are twisting my arm soo much...I just might be leaning towards the A4 :P I am really digging the Quattro!
I am personnaly more or less indifferent between the manual and the tiptronic....but i hear that the tiptronics have had some issues. What is your take on this? Am I better off sticking with the manual as it is simpler?

Re: Need advice buying car
The only way to go is a 6spd IMHO, it really takes the care from a sedan to a sports sedan. You much more control and feel more connected to the driving.
Same boat as you buy the way, A4 or 328xi...think I'm going to order the A4 in white this weekend 2009, in Ottawa aswell.
